Max has a strong love for all things art and design, with his strengths
and passions lying in experimental and conceptual design approaches. Max enjoys exploring
creative ways to express his work beyond traditional formats, seeking to present fresh
perspectives on how art and design can communicate, provoke thought, and inspire. He is
constantly aiming to push himself to grow as a designer and learn different
aspects of design.
Ephemeral Ascent is an experimental exploration of the intersection between sport and
creative/artistic expression, questioning whether rock climbing and art can be seen as a
connected form. Through visual mapping and experimentations, this project delves into
the connection between the body, mind and wall through concepts often found within
dance, including ephemeral experience, kinaesthetic empathy, somatic practice, flow and
choreography, revealing the unseen beauty within climbing through a series of data
visualisations.
