Student Rental Support is a service and mobile app designed by students, for students and in a proposed partnership wth GOV.UK. With 65% of students reporting their housing is having an impact on their mental health and 31% actively reporting issues with their landlord, Student Rental Support provides a bold and confident design in the form of a digital toolkit, visually and conceptually playing into the idea of ‘flat pack students’ and the absurdity of what is known as a right of passage.
The service equips its users with confidence in the face of difficult landlord and letting agencies by providing renting red flags, templates for resolving disputes, a renting a log and dashboard and a glossay of housing policy and regulation.
